My sister-in-law

I love and admire my sister-in-law bc of her relationship that she has with Jesus. No matter what trials and challenges comes her way she never loses focus on what really matters. Thirteen and half years ago she married my brother and at first I was jealous of her bc she was taking my brother away from me but when I came to find out what kind of person she has become changed my view on her. She is a very strong Christian and starts and ends her day with Jesus and with prayer. She home schools three of my five nephews and nieces takes them to practices and is the biggest cheerleader for them. When she is faced with a challenge she knows exactly what to do and does not fall and doubt God. In the thirteen years I have known her, her relationship with God grows stronger and stronger everyday. The one thing I miss most about living in Texas is that I don't get to see them as often as I did when we lived thirty minutes from them. I went up in August to visit them and came home truly blessed and more focused on God bc of what I got to witness while I was up there visiting. The whole family is on fire for God and when you walk into that house you feel God's love, family love, and no one ever puts the other one down. Everyone encourages everyone and everyone loves and helps out with everything. I love her and am truly blessed to be related to her. God created a wonderful caring person and I am glad that my brother chose her to marry and I am glad to call her my sister. Thank you for the person you are and the person I admire most and look up to for encouragement.

My Grandmother

I have had the privilege over the past two and a half years to spend time with my grandmother every week. I go over to her house and take her to the grocery store and any other errands she has to do and in return she feeds me a big lunch. I enjoy these outings bc my grandmother is a very strong Christian and has been my rock through everything. She has been there to wipe the tears, laugh with me, share in my victories, encouraged me through challenges I face. We have a great time together in fellowship and talking about Jesus and how to strengthen our relationship with Him. Growing up I didn't live near her and the only way we could talk was by phone so when I heard she was moving down here to Texas I was excited bc then I knew that I would be close to her and see her when I want to and not have to drive far. She is a huge blessing in my life and I enjoy our time together and I never want to leave the house and come back home. October is breast cancer awareness month and so I dedicate this post to my grandmother who is a survivor of breast cancer. Grandma I love you and the person you have become and I look up to you for your wisdom, guidance, and most importantly your unconditional love. Thank you for making me the person I am today with everything you have given me I grateful for it and thank you for being my rock and being a person I can confide in about anything.

Faith

We put our faith and trust in what we cannot see, and hope that in tough times the two will get us through anything. As we grow in our relationship with God our faith grows, but I feel that our faith gets tested more and more as we grow in our relationship. When we draw closer to God our faith really gets tested just to see how much we will trust Him and lean on Him for help. In the bible it tells us that if we have faith as small as a mustard seed that we can say to a mountain "move from here to there and it would move". Nothing would be impossible (Matthew 17:20 NLT). It also says that we are not to be afraid but to have faith (Mark 5:36 NLT). A new Christian's faith is very strong and thinks that nothing can happen to them, but then something happens to test their faith and they start questioning a lot of things. I believe it to be true to any Christian young or old. Something bad happens to us we start questioning "if our faith was stronger this wouldn't of happen" or "is God really with me through everything that happens??" This year we have had a lot of kids being baptized at church and how their faith is so strong and knowing that God is on their side to help them get through tough times. Having faith in the unseen is hard but having faith in nothing is even harder especially when tough times come and you need someone to help you get through it who will you turn to?? God knows all and will help us through all. Have faith in God and have faith in what He says and does bc He is always faithful.

Announcers

I am watching the Women's College World Series and one of the announcers asked the following question. The announcer interviewed the Washington head coach and asked "How do you plan on winning tonight's game??" Uh besides the obvious of scoring more runs than the other team?? Where do these announcers come up with these questions that they ask the head coaches and or players. You wonder if they think before asking questions. This has been one of my pet peeves for any sport I watch. You would think that these announcers had schooling on how to ask questions that make sense without looking dumb. I wonder if my brother agrees on this topic??

The Hunt Continues

Here is what happens when a squirrel comes into a yard where a dog lives. I decided to give the squirrel a head start and then let Ginger out due to what happened the last time a squirrel came into the yard. Here is the squirrel up the side of the house scared. Now for a rest after all of the hard work of keeping the backyard safe and secure.

Bath Time

After our house was cleaned I gave Ginger a bath and in return she gave me a bath when she shook her wet fur all over the place. She doesn't like the hair dryer one bit but I needed to get her fur dried. Since having a bath she hasn't itched or bitten herself since the bath. She is soft and stressed out so I gave her several treats after wards. Before the bath she scared the squirrel out of the backyard and then stayed to make sure it didn't come back into the yard.

Babysitting

My best friend asked me if I could watch her girls while she went out to dinner and her husband had youth group. The girls have been wanting to play with ginger ever since they saw a picture of her. Here are the three girls with the dog (ginger actually sat there so that I could take a picture). These are the girls that I pick up every Wednesday from school. The one on the left is 4; the one to the right of Ginger is 5; and the one next to her is 8.
