Survival
I have had people asking me this week how my job training and work is going. The job is going fine but the class is somewhat frustrating but it will decrease as I get more hands on at the branch. The teachers that are teaching the class are very nice and very helpful and will stay late if needed or come in early the next day. I met my manager on Friday and had a brief meeting with her just to talk about the class and any questions that I had this far. I have training next week and then training for two weeks at the branch. So probably around the new year I will get my own drawer and then be set free but still able to ask questions if I need to. I like all of the co-workers that I have met and they are all very helpful and are letting me practice with their drawer while they watch and assist me when needed.

new job
After a lot of waiting and a few interviews God provided a job for me at a local bank in Georgetown. I start training on Dec 3rd for two weeks. I am looking forward to the new job but I have a lot of other feelings and emotions running through me. I just keep praying that God would be in control of the job and the manager of the bank (I have yet to meet the manager I had the interview over the phone and offered the job by an HR person). More to come about the job.

Furniture
Well, after several weeks of trips to Home Depot and different colors tried to match the rest of the desk I now have a desk and that completes my room. I have had the desk for a month but we were missing the top so dad and I decided that instead of returning the desk and keep looking we took on the mission of doing it ourselves. I now have all of my furniture that we have ordered and it all matches pretty well. I want to send out a huge thanks to my dad who spent his free time to sand, stain, sand some more, stain and then put a top coat on it so that it will withstand beverage without leaving marks. I have really appreciated him doing this and I am not sure I will ever know how much of his time went into it and therefore love him soo much for helping me put a desk together. Love ya dad. :)

Fall Festival
On Halloween we had a fall festival at my church and it was a good time and good weather. Our Pastor was involved in the wet sponge throw and the kids got a kick out of it because they could throw wet sponges at the pastor. I did play it a couple of times and did get him. Here are some pics from the evening.

A rare act
Splash Mountain

Before I tell you about this ride I want to first say that I am TERRIFIED of heights. Yesterday at Magic Kingdom it was very hot and very crowded and everyone including the kids except, mom and my 6 month old niece, wanted to go on Splash Mountain so I decided to go along with them knowing about the 50 foot drop right there at the end. I had the best time on the ride and got completely soaked and was laughing and screaming all the way down the 50 foot drop. I came off still laughing about it and found out later from my sister-in-law that as we were going up the hill she was praying for me that I wouldn't get scared. She bought the picture that was taken and I am going to send it to her and she is going to make a shirt that says "I SURVIVED SPLASH MOUNTAIN" and live to tell about it. :) Of course this is a once in a life time thing I just wanted to prove to myself and anyone else that I am not chicken and that can do what everyone else does. I will probably from now on keep my feet on the ground. I did scream very loud and was afraid that I may have deafen my sister-in-law's mother since she was sitting right in front of me.

All God's Creatures
This week I have had the privilege of joining my parents in Florida, and I have seen a lot of different creatures around the condo. I unfortunately forgot my camera so I could not capture the critters, but here are some that I have seen; frogs, gecko, grasshoppers, and many others that I don't know names to. Today we went to Animal Kingdom and it was fun plus it rained on us so we were able to cool off for a while. Probably my favorites from today would have to be the Lion King Musical; the dinosaur ride (with dinosaurs that came right up to the car that we were riding in); and my very least favorite was the African safari trip because it was so bumpy up and downs and pretty fast. We then had our family tradition of cooking pasta at the condo for all the family members who made their way here from the north (IL); South (TX) the far east and north (NY). Oh well another trip to Magic Kingdom tomorrow which will be the second day for most of the crew but will only be my first day at Magic Kingdom; but I went to it when my mom, dad, sister, and brother came back in 1985 or somewhere around there.

The Last Game Ever
Today mom, dad, and I went to the Northwestern's first home game and they shut out Northeastern. This will most likely be my last game I will go to because on Tuesday we will be heading to a new life in Texas. I may become a Texas football fan since I will most likely be seeing all of them on tv.

saying goodbye

I have been going around taking pictures of furniture that we are giving away that I have grown up living with. Unfortuntately I packed the cords to the camera; I guess if it doesn't move it gets packed and there have been numerous of times by accident that mom has tried to tape me to the boxes bc I was trying to help. I will post pictures when we move and I find the cables. Until then here is a picture I found of the family that we will be leaving behind as we move to Texas. I am hoping they will come visit us now and then.
From left to right is my older brother and he is holding my baby niece, next is my five year old niece, next is my seven yr old nephew, then my nine yr old nephew and then my sister-in-law.

Few Weeks Left
The first picture is the front of the house and the second picture is the backyard where we saw all the deer in the morning and evening. The reason for that is bc it is a forest area beyond our backyard. We will be heading there to start our new lives on September 4th. I will blog more often once I get down there, unpacked, and settled in. The first blog may be the drive down.

cleaning out
So this week I decided to clean out all the change that had accumulated in my cup holder. Mom made the comment that I had about 3 or 4 dollars worth of change. So I went upstairs and sorted them into quarters, nickles, dimes, and pennies (the pennies going to the Holocaust fund at mom's school). I then took them to the bank (all but the pennies) and found that I had made 13 dollars and ten cents. I was surprised by that amount bc I didn't think I had that much. I haven't decided if I am going to start over or leave it empty for another cup to be put there.

Stupid things

So on Wednesday mom and I were doing inventory to all the books that they own and so far there are 400+ books so far, and as I was sitting on my dad's green ball reading off author, title, and for some reason the year (dad's idea that hopefully will be told later). So while I was on the green ball reading off the titles by the same authors (there were very many books by the same author). One of the book's title I was laughing about the title and worried about dad's reading I fell off the green ball and of course started laughing and mom was asking for the date at the same time. I have done many different stupid things but I think so far this one tops them all. Even including the falling off of my bed several times a week. These friends of mine have done some stupid things over the years of our service of AWANA. One of the funniest things that we did was that we decided during council time to change the clocks and because I can't hang anything straight it got the kids laughing and got the person talking off the subject and onto time. :)

New house
On Saturday mom, dad, and I went up to Georgetown to see the final landscaping on the house and to look through the house. It is all on one floor with an attic for storage. The neighborhood has three pools two of which are indoors. The window is into my room and those are white wooden shutters. The second picture is the right side of the house just right of the garage and of course every house has to have a welcome mat that is a given.
